Challenge
Our client – a multinational HR and staffing services company operating across more than 20 countries in Central and Eastern Europe – had grown rapidly through regional expansion, but its cloud infrastructure had not kept pace. The organisation was running multiple business-critical applications, including a corporate web platform and an AI-powered recruitment platform, without a unified cloud operating model to govern them.
Several compounding problems were holding the business back:
No governance foundation. The organisation lacked a multi-account AWS strategy, meaning there was no environment isolation between development and production, no centralised access control, and no guardrails to prevent misconfigurations from reaching live systems.
Legacy CI/CD with no automation. Source code was hosted in AWS CodeCommit with no standardised branching strategy, and deployments were largely manual — slowing down feature delivery and introducing human error risk with every release.
No centralised security visibility. Security posture was managed reactively and in silos. There was no organisation-wide threat detection, no centralised audit logging, and no mechanism to enforce security policies consistently across accounts and applications.
Fragmented observability. Without a unified monitoring and tracing stack, the operations team had no reliable way to detect incidents early, understand the root cause of failures, or measure application performance against business SLOs.
Scalability constraints. The existing infrastructure was not containerised and could not scale efficiently to meet the demands of a growing candidate and client base using the recruitment platform across multiple markets.
The organisation needed a partner to design and implement a production-ready, secure, and fully automated cloud operations platform — one that could support current workloads while scaling sustainably with the business.
Our Solution
allOps Solutions designed and delivered a comprehensive cloud operations transformation on AWS, built around four pillars: governance, automation, security, and observability. The foundation of the solution was a custom Landing Zone built using AWS CDK (TypeScript) — giving the organisation a repeatable, code-driven framework for provisioning and governing its entire AWS estate.
All source code repositories were migrated from AWS CodeCommit to GitHub, preserving complete commit history and establishing branch protection rules from day one. GitHub Actions pipelines were implemented using self-hosted runners on AWS CodeBuild, enabling ARM-based compute for cost efficiency.
Security was implemented as an organisation-wide, code-managed capability rather than an account-level afterthought. AWS Firewall Manager was enabled at the organisation level to deploy and enforce WAF policies — including AWS Managed Rules and custom GeoMatching rules — consistently across all accounts and applications.
Amazon CloudWatch was configured with custom dashboards, alarms, and anomaly detection across all infrastructure and application layers — tied to defined SLOs and SLAs for the recruitment platform. AWS X-Ray with OpenTelemetry instrumentation provided distributed tracing across the microservices architecture, making it possible to pinpoint performance bottlenecks and debug failures across service boundaries.

The transformation delivered a production-ready, fully automated cloud operations platform that fundamentally changed how the organisation’s engineering and operations teams work — moving from reactive, manual processes to a governed, observable, and continuously delivered cloud environment.
