FREE · FUNDED BY AWS · 10 DAYS OF SENIOR TIME
Find out exactly where your AWS estate stands. AWS pays for it.
Ten days of senior AWS engineering time, spent looking properly at what you are actually running. You get the risks, the savings and a costed plan. AWS covers the work. You commit to nothing at the end of it.
- Duration
- 10 effort days, 2 to 3 weeks
- Format
- Well-Architected or migration assessment
- Price basis
- Free to you, funded by AWS
The situation
You know roughly what the bill is. You do not know which part of it is waste. You know the architecture has grown sideways for three years. You do not know which of those decisions is now a genuine risk and which is just untidy. And every partner who offers to tell you wants a signed engagement first, which means paying to find out whether you have a problem worth paying to fix.
This is the step before that. AWS funds partner assessments because AWS would rather you make good decisions on AWS than bad ones. That is the whole mechanism. It costs you nothing because it does not come out of your budget.
What you get
A full picture of the estate as it actually runs today, whatever the documentation says.
The risks, ranked by what they would cost you if they landed.
The savings, with a number attached and a note on how hard each one is to take.
A costed plan for what comes next, including which parts AWS will fund and which parts you pay for.
A readout with your technical owner and whoever holds the budget, in the same room.
Scope
In scope
Ten effort days across two to three calendar weeks.
Either a Well-Architected assessment of an existing estate, or a migration assessment if the workload is not on AWS yet.
Read-only access review, billing review, architecture review, and a written output.
Out of scope
Any remediation. This step tells you what to fix. Fixing it is a separate, scoped engagement.
Application code review.
A second free assessment of a different estate. One per customer.
How the price is set
Free to you. Funded by AWS. The exact programme and the funding amount are confirmed per opportunity before the work is scheduled, because AWS funding rules change and no partner should quote them from a web page.
Proof
Two AWS Heroes, an AWS Advanced Tier Partner, and an external AWS-commissioned technical audit that described cross-departmental change at this depth as rarely seen. Recent work: Lighthouse, cloud costs down 22 percent and the data pipeline 30 percent faster.
FAQ
What is the catch?
No catch. There is an incentive, though, and you should know about it. AWS funds this because funded assessments lead to more work landing on AWS. allOps runs it for free because a meaningful share of the estates that get assessed decide to fix what was found. You are under no obligation to be one of them, and the output is yours either way.
Do I have to be on AWS already?
For the Well-Architected version, yes. If you are on another platform or on-premises, the migration assessment is the right entry and it works the same way.
How much of my team's time does this take?
A kickoff call, access, and two or three working sessions with whoever knows the estate best. Under a day in total for your side.
What happens at the end?
A readout, a written output, and a conversation about which of the findings you want closed. If the answer is none of them, the assessment still stands on its own and you keep it.
